Nokia N96

When Nokia N95 was released, many people wondered where the N-series would, from that moment. The answer to that was, of course, the 8GB upgrade, but since the next version of the N-series has long been rumoured with any concrete information that will light.

The rumour with any credibility at this time to make rounds at the moment is the Nokia phone N96. There are currently two different versions with multiple images being shown the web. A device predominantly white with a bizarre double sliding action is likely to be a fake. What I will be taking a closer look at a smaller device with fame of double sliding action similar in design and color scheme for the N81.

Obviously the specifications listed here are only rumoured and confirmed if a more in-depth preview or review will be posted. The Nokia N96 is reputed to have Bluetooth, 3G, Wi-Fi; of 5 Mega Pixel Carl Zeiss Optics camera, and (depending on whether you read) 8GB of internal memory or 10 GB. It is also supposed to have Optical Zoom that the rumor mill spouts will be somewhere between 3X and a 20X absurd. The risk is that if Optical Zoom is included in all, it would only go up to 5, although 3X probably is more likely, since that will put it in direct competition with the Samsung G800 and the most advanced optics to Nokia put it ahead the game.

My suspicion on the "realism" of the existence of N96 comes from shots currently doing rounds. Everything seems very similar to the N81 or even the N-Gage. The only difference is clear in the dual-sliding action that the current (similar to the dual-sliding action on the N95), but apart from this, it does look very similar. My personal suspicion is that this is both a photo-shop decent effort or someone has decimated there N81 or N-Gage to make it look like a new model, but there is always the chance that the rumors may be true, but I I believe that when you see it. The next 3GSM show in Barcelona in February 2008 would be a good place to look for any official announcement.
